VARIETY: Aglianico di Taurasi (100%).VINIFICATION: Fermentation with maceration for about 18 days with 5 pump overs per day.AGING: In French oak barriques for 12 months and subsequent aging in the bottle for 24 months.The Macchialupa Winery is located in the Valle del Sabato, on the border between the provinces of Avellino and Benevento, amid wide valleys and towering ridges where, at an altitude of around 450 meters, the Falanghina, Greco, Fiano and Aglianico grape types are cultivated. Their passion and love for an area rich in winemaking traditions and culture led enologist Angelo Valentino and agronomist Giuseppe Ferrara to set up this small winery, which is masterfully run by its founders.
