We are an Authentic Italian Cafe, Restaurant, and Retail Shop
based in Petone, Lower Hutt, in the Wellington Region.
Antonio Cacace, from Massa Lubrense, in Italy, started La Bella Italia to create a place in New Zealand where to find fresh, premium Italian Products like Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano and Buffalo Mozzarella.
We use all these products and more for our dishes, served according to traditional Italian recipes.

The 2011 New Zealand Italian Festival - A huge success once more
So many people came to celebrate Italy and Italian lifestyle Sunday 6 November at the Westpac Stadium - with exquisite food and drink and incredible events!


Cooking Demonstrations at the Italian Festival
Chef James Perry of NMIT in Nelson and Chef Gabriele Cagnetta of La Bella Italia held some demonstration dinners at the Italian Festival. James Perry demonstrated a Salmon dish and a Risotto. Gabriele Cagnetta demonstrated a Ravioli dish .Click on the links to see the recipes!
